It's been awhile...

Yes, it has been awhile since the last post. I don't know...I am in a blogging "funk." I just haven't really felt the vibe lately! :-) We had a great time in Disney World. It was SO much fun. Rick and I went to Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and The Magic Kingdom and stayed until close every night. We even stayed for "Fantasmic" at Hollywood Studios...I had wanted to see it before, but did not get to! It was great! Here are a few photos:

Is she a baby or a dog? (Part 2)

Ok, the second time I asked this question was yesterday. It was SO hot (as we all know) and she was outside, and I thought, "I wonder if she would like a little baby pool?"

So, off to Walgreens I go and I found the perfect little pool for her. I came home, blew it up and we put a tiny bit of water in. I put her in and at first she just drank the water. Then she actually started to play and she jumped in and out of the pool! It was hilarious!

Being off for the whole summer, one has to find a way to amuse herself! Haha!

Is she a baby or a dog? (Part 1)

Sometimes I find myself asking this question in regard to Lexie. Lately I have asked it twice. First, I became very frustrated about her toys being EVERYWHERE! So, we were at Petsmart and I saw a dog toybox! The answer to all of my problems! I happily bought it, brought it home, put her toys in it and closed the lid.

How long did that last? Not long...after seeing that sweet/sad little face sniff the box, bat at it, and KNOW that all of her toys were in there but she could not get to them, I folded. So, most of the time the toybox is turned on its side so Lexie can continue to get every single toy out and mess up the house.

If I didn't love her so much...

66. When I had a really rough Valentine's Day and my dad gave me a lovely little ring with a heart shaped diamond on it.

Life As I've Lived It...Part 1 (100-75)

One of my favorite people, Joi, did this and I decided to take her challenge and do it too!. It entails making a list of 100 things that were worth doing in your life and reflecting upon them. As another blogger put it, "I hope these events are those that pop up should my life flash before my eyes." Here's my partial list! And, these are definitely in no particular order.

100. Getting the phone call offering me my teaching job at FZN.
99. Driving around in high school with Heather and Rachel after I got my convertible. It was snowing, but we still put the top down!
98. I have to say this one (Joi!) going to see NKOTB at Busch Stadium with my mom. I thought I was so hot!
97. Playing "tug on the rope" with my sister Katie!
96. All of the great summers spent on McKinley Drive with the "crew..." Katie, Katie, Kristin, Kaci
95. Lunches with my dad at Plaza Frontenac. It is a great annual tradition.
94. "back to school" shopping with my grandma Velma.
93. Actually, anything and everything I did with my grandma Velma!
92. Going to New York by myself to visit my uncle Danny! I will never forget seeing "Beauty and the Beast" on Broadway from the first or second row! That is HUGE to a 12 year old!
91. Picking Lexie up and seeing that tiny little face...SO CUTE!!
90. The first time I tried to take Ginger on a walk...we made it to the stop sign and she laid down!
89. Our family trip to London and Paris!
88. Our family trip to Alaska!
87. All of our family trips!
86. The moment Rick proposed on top of the Stratosphere in Las Vegas.
85. Getting to walk into the hotel and tell his family we were engaged!
84. Making "Pigs in a blanket" with grandma Bette.
83. Drinking grandma Bette's sweet tea...and swinging in her swing on Harmon Drive...
82. Being a munchkin in The Wizard of OZ
81. Meeting my mother in law for the first time. See, it was Christmas time and she was sitting on the floor in her pajamas wrapping Christmas gifts...while wearing rubber gloves to protect her nail polish. I love it.
80. Staying up late with my mom...for any reason.
79. Watching The Kentucky Derby...LIVE!
78. Closing on our house!
77. My dad walking me down the aisle to get married
76. Marrying Rick
75. Going "to the bars" with Corey. Ok, when Corey, Jenni and I lived together, our stairs had "bars." Well, one night Corey and I decided that in order to call ourselves "thin" we had to be able to fit through the bars. Well, we did it. And we continued to do it for company who didn't believe our story!

Summer Break is here!

Summer break is finally here and I am trying to live every minute of it to the fullest! Today, Lexie and I had a great day together, but my being home all day REALLY tires her out! She is used to getting more sleep!
First, we SLEPT IN! Three cheers for 9:30! Then we ate breakfast out on the patio and played with Lexaroo's frisbee. She LOVES that thing! Lexie told me that I ought to do something productive so I cleaned the first floor, did all the dishes, cleaned the bedroom ( just a little), made the bed, put some clothes away, then took a shower.
After that, I left Lexie to take a little nap and went to Petsmart and got her her very own little toy box! Yes, she has more toys than any dog I have ever seen.
My major story of the day is about going to Trader Joes! I LOVE LOVE LOVE that place! I really only go in the summer because it is just a little too far for a "normal" grocery store. But wow, did I get some neat stuff! I heart Trader Joe. And YES, he is a real person...Uncle Danny knows him personally.
Here are some new pictures of Lexaroo.

Our beautiful girl in her summer dress!

This was her today sitting outside in the sun. She was "mid-yawn" but it looks really funny like she was sticking her tongue out.
Lexie...sunning her back.
Lexie...sunning her tummy!
And another big yawn!!

Happy Summer everyone!

Everything I hoped for...

Yes, Sex and the City was perfect. It was everything I hoped for and I am SO THRILLED with how it was written! It was wonderful...so wonderful that I saw it TWICE in its opening weekend! Ha! I will not write specifics, because that would be terrible, but it was great! And honestly, it was not all designers, and fun and frolic. There were some very touching moments that remind us all how important our girlfriends are! Below is a picture of me and Rachel in the theater. Yes, I was the person who took a picture in the movie theater...
